Located just north of Guttenberg on scenic Pool 10 of the Mississippi River, Esmann Island was originally a part of the Esmann family farm. Until recently Art Esmann lived across from the Island Road entrance.
The Esmann family leased cabin sites along the river. In 1993 the Association purchased the property and subdivided it into lots, most of which were purchased by the Tenants.
Today Esmann Island is home to both permanent residents and weekend residents. New homes continue to be built and exhisting home are being updated and remodeled. The Island has become a unique river community.
