BOARD MEETING
09-18-2010
Board Members Present: Dave Wagner called the regular meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. with Jim McGuire, Barb Engle, Mike Shaffer, Don Niosi, Ken Brandel and Carol Buhman in attendance, Dottie Reimer, secretary. Donna Gilkes, treasurer
Members Present: Larry Brown, Ed Schneider, Mert Duffy, Tony Ryerson, Brian Hamling, Joe Ertl, Bob Gilkes, Wayne Jensen, Chad Williams.
Minutes: Reviewed minutes from last meeting, Motion to approve 1st Engle, 2nd by McGuire, motion approved.
Treasures Report: Motion to approve treasurer’s report 1st by McGuire, 2nd by Brandel, motion approved.
Bills: Current bills presented and reviewed. Motion to approve 1st by Niosi, 2nd by Engle, motion approved.
Building Permits: Twelve (12) building permits presented:
Joe Ertl, Lot 114; Joe Ertl, Lot 193; Don Niosi, Lot 364 (87); Charles Goldsmith, Lot 425; Stephen Mysak, Lot 223; Dale Hoffman, Lots 151,146; Ricky Schneider, Lot 155; Chad Williams, Lots 52, 53; Tony Reyerson, Lot 208; Brian Hamling, Lot 49; Greg Apel, Lot 30, 88; Greg Apel, Lot 30, 88.
Property Ownership Changes: None at this time
Road Report:
- Brandel reported the trees on the back road will be trimmed soon.
- Fire department was here to flush out the dry hydrant by the sand pit.
- Asked for everyone to be aware of grass/weeds growing into the street by your property. Please take care to remove these.
- The drains will be cleaned out after the leaves have fallen.
- Road committee spoke to several people at the DNR level and Clayton County level, regarding the new DNR flood plain permits and changes which may be coming in the near future. Ken invited each to come to our next board meeting in October.
Old Business: There is no Old Business
New Business:
- Dave will propose next year’s budget at the next board meeting.
- Snow removal discussed – Suggestion made to have a 3 year contract with snow removal contractor. Ken Brandel will contact contractor regarding this.
- Suggestion made to mow around the sand pit, as weeds and poison ivy is present. Dave will contact mowing contractor for them to take care of.
- Joe Ertl spoke regarding the recent letter received from Esmann Island concerning the DNR building permits and future changes. Suggested Esmann board and Able Island board meet to share information, so all are kept up to date. Mike Shaffer asked Joe to contact him the next time Able Island meets.
Next meeting set for October, 16th at 8:30 a.m. May be subject to change.
