ESMANN ISLAND OWNER’S ASSOCIATION

BOARD MEETING

05-15-10 

Board Members Present:  Dave Wagner called the regular meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. with Doug Hintzman, Barb Engle, Mike Shaffer, Don Niosi and Carol Buhman in attendance, Dottie Reimer, secretary. Donna Gilkes, treasurer

Members Present: Mert Duffy, Larry Brown, Bob Gilkes, Becky Shaffer

 

Minutes:  Reviewed minutes from last meeting, Motion to approve 1st Shaffer, 2nd by Engel, motion approved. 

Treasures Report: Reviewed treasurer’s report and revenues & expenses as of May 13, 2010.  Motion to approve 1st by Hintzman, 2nd by Niosi, and motion approved. 

Bills:  Current bills presented and reviewed.  Motion to approve 1st by Engel, 2nd by Hintzman, motion approved.   We have 1 property in lien status, which is not paid, board agreed to address this in the annual meeting notice to homeowner. 

Building Permits:   Two (2) building permits presented. 

  1. Benjamin L. Kettler, Lot 269
  2. Mike Scherr, Lot 130  

Property Ownership Changes:   None at this time 

Road Report:   

  • Downed tree removed from back road by the Don Niosi and Bob Gilkes, accompanied by their wives. 

Old Business:   

  • Poison has been placed in shed to get rid of the meadow mice.
  • Discussed replacement of shingles on shed roof.  Dave will get 2 bids to repair roof.
  • Discussion held on homeowners maintaining properties. Recommendation to put something in the annual meeting notice for homeowners to be conscience of raking and mowing lawns. 

New Business: 

  • The members annual meeting will be held on June 19, 2010, with the regular monthly board meeting held after the annual meeting.
  • Boat trailer parking:  discussion held to find place to house boat trailers for the summer.  Suggestion made to use shed and charge $30.00 for the summer months, which will run from June 19th through September 18, 2010.  Motion to approve using shed for trailers 1st by Niosi and 2nd by Shaffer, motion approved.
  • There are 3 vacancy board seats available this year.  Mike Schaffer and Barb Engel will seek re-election.  If anyone would like to run for the board, or nominate someone, please fill out a nomination form and return by May 31, 2010.  

Next meeting scheduled for June 19th, 2010 after annual members meeting.
