BOARD MEETING

07-23-2011

Board Members Present:  Dave Wagner called the regular meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. with Jim McGuire, Barb Engle, Ken Brandel, Mike Shaffer, Don Niosi, and Terry Lubbers in attendance, Dottie Reimer, secretary. Donna Gilkes, treasurer 

Members Present:  Bob Gilkes, Cristy Huber 

Minutes:  Reviewed minutes from June 25th, 2011 meeting, Motion to approve 1^st Shaffer; 2^nd by McGuire, motion approved. 

Treasures Report:  Motion to approve treasurer’s report, 1^st by Engle, 2^nd by McGuire, motion approved. 

Bills:  Current bills presented and reviewed.  Motion to approve for payment, 1^st by McGuire, 2^nd by McGuire, motion approved. 

Building Permits:   None 

Property Ownership Changes:    Strand to Leiss; Clemen to Rolfe; Heldt to Zearley 

Road Report: Roads in good condition.  Some road damage due to construction, homeowner will repair road when construction is done. 

Old Business:  

• Skunks still an issue on island. Please note, it is each homeowner’s responsibly to remove these from their property. 

New Business: 

• Secretary and Treasurer’s positions will continue to be Dottie Reimer and Donna Gilkes, motion to approve 1^st Engle; 2^nd McGuire.
• Dave Wagner to speak to owner regarding over grown weeds on property
• Discussion held on having county sheriff parole Esmann Island.   Dave Wagner will call county to request. 

Next meeting set for Saturday, August 20 at 8:30 a.m.

Board Members Present:  Dave Wagner called the regular meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. with Jim McGuire, Barb Engle, Mike Shaffer, Don Niosi, and Terry Lubbers in attendance, Dottie Reimer, secretary. Donna Gilkes, treasurer 

Members Present:  Wayne Jensen, Bob Gilkes, Bob Engle 

Nomination of Officers:  Board elected Dave Wagner as President and Mike Shaffer as Vice President.  Motion to approve 1^st by McGuire 2^nd by Niosi, motion approved. 

Minutes:  Reviewed minutes from May 21st, 2011 meeting, Motion to approve 1^st Engle; 2^nd by Shaffer, motion approved. 

Treasures Report:  Motion to approve treasurer’s reports, 1^st by McGuire, 2^nd by Shaffer, motion approved. 

Bills:  Current bills presented and reviewed.  Motion to approve for payment, 1^st by Engle, 2^nd by McGuire, motion approved. 

Building Permits:   Three (3) permits presented:

Dale Hoffman, Lot 492; Greg Schneider, Lots 292&293; Duncan Ahrens, lot 411 

Property Ownership Changes:    Lenth to Brink; Sercu to McDowell; Golla to Weigel 

Road Report: All OK with the roads 

Old Business:  

• A Fall Clean-up will be scheduled in the fall, after Labor Day, Mike Shaffer will contact refuse company.
• Known skunk issue has been addressed to each homeowner and will be taken care of. 

New Business: 

• The one lien we have will be paid in full soon, as property has been sold.
• Board approved of a wood chipper to be rented when branches on common grounds are trimmed.
• Dave Wagner to speak to owner who is burning, etc. on common ground.
• Tom Nagel would like volunteers to help with the boat dock.  Anyone interested in helping please contact Tom Nagel.  Board agreed to purchase new poles for dock.
• If you are interested in the secretary or treasurer’s position, please submit an application before the next board meeting. 

Next meeting set for Saturday, July 23 at 8:30 a.m.

ANNUAL BOARD MEETING

Board Members Present:  This years meeting opened by Dave Wagner for business at 10:05 a.m. Board roll called: Dave Wagner, President, Mike Schafer, Vice President; Carol Buhman, Don Noisi, Jim McGuire and Barb Engle, board members with Donna Gilkes, treasurer and Dottie Reimer, secretary.  

Minutes:  Approval of 2010 minutes.  Motion was made not to read last year annual board meeting minutes.  Motion made by Schafer, 2^nd by Engle.  Motion carried~~all approved. 

Treasurer’s Report:   Reviewed treasurer’s report and revenues and expenses as of May 31, 2011 Motion to approve treasurer’s report 1^st Bob Gilkes, 2^nd by Jerald Burco.  Motion carried ~~all approved.
